Weekly Art & Design Clubs | Fawcett
What
We are thrilled to be back with a brand new series of Weekly Art & Design Clubs for children in Years 1 - 3! Our weekly clubs give children the opportunity to really get to know a medium or discipline of art and design and develop their technical skills and confidence.
During the autumn term, we’ll be exploring the dreamy world of painting. From the basics of colour mixing to mark-making, layering and juxtaposition, we’ll take your young artist on a (messy!) journey of discovery. Taking a playful approach, we’ll experiment with watercolours, acrylics, ink and mixed media and learn how to develop these experiments into finished pieces. Along the way, we’ll encounter the work of painters from across time: think John Constable’s 19th century skies and the quirky dreamscapes of contemporary Swedish artist, Emma Larsson. And - by the end of this club, their minds will be swirling with painterly ideas and they’ll be dab hands with a paintbrush!
Take a look at our Gallery to find out what our amazing young artists have created in previous clubs!
